IF you been around the game since 2009 you know why Giants way is the best way to do it and keep qualitycontrol up as mutch they can. The best modders for FS17 has there own and good places to upload to or use the ingamehub. You have yours pointless accivements for owning the game on steam to do so you get "steam exclusive feature" and that is what you pay for. It is splitting community by having a "steam exclusive modhub" majority of user cant use and the ingame one anyone can use. I dont want the old situation back where you as user has to correct the error made by others that upload old mods and in some cases not even change the ModDesc version to the current one or have mods with fatal errors that take down framereate to basement-level or the famous "static actor moved" error. This was the case back in time before the qualitycontrolled ingame modhub was added and you know that ingame modhub has errorfree mods since they where tested and rejected, adjusted and restested before approval. NOT a suprice if you been around for a while so FS is one of the games best purchased by the source/Giants directly and not feed steam with money for nothing.ĭo you want the lowquality workshop in the game where anyone can upload anything and say it is FS19 compatible and still spit out errors after error? True a few rare exeptions will be the case but majority will be lazy mods just uploaded as newer than they are just like it wasa done in the old days of FS. It's just my 2cents, but getting onboard is just value-added to your series.įS17 had in the first month of its life sold only 220000 copys on steam, compared to 700000 boxed ones. The QoL features Steam offers are fantastic. I do appreciate and understand you guys have been doing this for a long while and have your own system, but it's really hard to beat the convenience of Steam - particularly when considering we all play many games. I mean there is even bonus content, right? It's hard to believe. >50%) of your sales are not through Steam. You surely have a Steam focused crowd here, so why not embrace it? People are already getting mods from multiple sources/sites, what's one more source? We are however continuously working on improving the mod integration into the game and on .Ĭan you perhaps explain how this would 'split' the community? I don't follow.
